The heart of Job Relations
People must be treated as individuals.

Every step of Job Relations comes back to that idea, and it's the reason good supervisors keep good people.

The method

Four steps for any people problem.

Leaders start by deciding what they want to accomplish, then work the problem through four steps. They practice on real situations from their own areas all week.

01

Get the facts

Gather the whole story, including opinions and feelings, before deciding anything.

02

Weigh and decide

Fit the facts together, look at the options and how each one affects people.

03

Take action

Decide who should handle it and when, then follow through.

04

Check results

Follow up to see whether the action helped reach the objective.
